The owner of an online football games community, requested that I design a football emblem for the most popular league on their site. He wanted an emblem that would not only be good to promote their league but also be suitable to go on their football shirts online. During the process of this design I created a simple badge shape and decided to use nice bright colours that would stand out. The two different shades of blue and gold work very well together. The font is big, bold and slightly italic for the word ‘PML’ (Player Manager League), which is then crowned with cut-out patches of a football as an icon. I took my inspiration for the striped blue background from a football jersey strip. The Emblem is then subtly lifted off the page with a drop shadow.
